To prepare staff to recognise and instigate treatment for victims of pre-arrest, cardiac arrest and post arrest situations, perform basiclifesupport and to deploy an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
At the end of the programme you will be able to:
Understand the importance of early recognition of the critically ill patient.
Perform an ABCDE approach to identify and treat patients at risk of cardiac arrest.
Demonstrate appropriate BasicLifeSupport
Demonstrate appropriate and safe treatment of shockable and non-shockable rhythms using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Target Audience: Mandatory training for all staff who have direct patient contact who have no other resuscitation certificate.
