Step into ELHT
Delivered as a partnership programme with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and local colleges. This programme is open to all unemployed residents within our footprint. DWP recruit the candidates who undertake a three week college course Level 1, employability skills for working in the adult care and child care sectors on completion of this three week course, candidates are interviewed for work placements.
The candidates are offered a work placement for a duration of 3 weeks which is based around individual skills set. They are paired with a ‘buddy’ in their department for support and guidance whilst on placement.
