Career Engagement
Careers at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust are supported by the Work Based Education Team who deliver a wide range of interactive career sessions.
The Team provides bespoke information, advice and guidance to support individuals in their aspired careers within the East Lancashire footprint.
The team facilitate a range of hospital tours which take place in a variety of clinical and non-clinical areas. This allows the students to gain an insight into the variety of roles within the departments and includes advice and guidance from the professionals linked to these career pathways.
We offer a variety of virtual and face-to-face programmes and opportunities; this includes an interactive face to face event aimed at students and job seekers which is held at our local hospital or within the local community. These events are facilitated by a wide range of professional staff from clinical and non-clinical Wards and Departments, this enables students and job seekers to gain a deeper understanding of their aspired careers and the pathways into these roles.
We also invite our partner organisations such as Social Care, Primary Care, Northwest Ambulance Service, connected NHS Organisations and GP representation.
