Our classrooms contain Learner Support Boxes numbering the following resources:
Magnifying screens
Magnifying reading screens are available to assist with reading and to aid those with a visual impairment. Coloured Overlays Coloured overlays are also available for training to aid in visual dyslexia and visual strain. The overlays have a shiny side and a matt side to provide improved usability over a range of lighting conditions. Reading from the shiny side gives a subjectively crisper appearance to the underlying text, but can reflect overhead lighting. The matt side trades slightly decreased clarity for less reflection. Reading Rulers The Reading Ruler is a flexible transparent coloured plastic strip with a tracking line . The reading ruler is made of a transparent plastic that both underlines the text and highlights it in a coloured tint. Simply read the text through the plastic strip of your preferred colour, and track down the page. |
