Foundation
After leaving medical school graduates will enter a two-year integrated Foundation Programme based on six four month posts in the same NHS Trust.
These programmes will enable doctors to acquire and demonstrate the core competencies required of a doctor in the 21st century and will include an understanding of different settings in which medicine is practiced. In particular these will include the core clinical skills required to identify and care for the acutely ill patient as well as communication, team working and IT skills.
