Junior Clinical Fellows - Appraisal
Your appraisal
You are expected to have an annual appraisal. The purpose of this is to look at your achievements over the preceding year and establish your current goals and how you plan on achieving them. This will take the form of a Personal Development Plan (PDP). All educational activity, Quality Improvement (QI) and reflections should be recorded in your appraisal documentation. The easiest way to do this is to keep up to date with in-putting the information.
You will need to set up your GMC settings to reflect the fact that you are employed by East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
You will be allocated an appraiser by the Trust’s Appraisal and Revalidation team.
You should contact your appraiser to set a date for your appraisal at least six weeks prior to your allocated month.
Complete your documentation at least two weeks before your appraisal to give your appraiser time to read the information.
