Physician Associates - Preceptorship
During the first year of your practice you will be supported through preceptorship. It is advised that you keep a portfolio, which is available at the Faculty of Physician Associates.
At the end of the year you will be assessed against the criteria set by the Faculty.

In your preceptorship year you will be allocated a supervisor, with Dr Chris Clark having overall responsibility for any educational issues. You will be employed at Band 6 with the expectation that you will, after an appraisal or assessment, move to Band 7 at the end of the year.
You will be a member of the Faculty of Physician Associates and clear guidance is given by the Faculty for employers in the following document http://www.fparcp.co.uk/employers/guidance
During your preceptorship year you will have regular documented meetings with your supervisor. There are a recommended number of CBDs and Mini-CEXs. You should also have a 360 TAB at 6 months and at 12 months.
You should attend regional teaching as advertised.
