Your Learning & Development Journey

Since December 2016, the Learning & Development Journey has been a dedicated area of our Learning Management System.  It enables members of staff to have a customised and interactive learning journey with a view to career progression if this is what they wish.

The Learning & Development Journey provides a range of subject matter areas, such as Core & Essential Skills, Communication Skills, Self-Development, Health & Wellbeing, Leadership & Management and many more, along with a range of resources; including face-to-face training, e-learning, access to national websites and subject documentation where staff can gain the knowledge they require.  It also provides them with information, links, access to coaching and mentoring which is aligned to their individual educational and developmental requirements, no matter what their role within East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

How does the Learning & Development Journey help staff?
The Learning & Development Journey was set up to guide staff through what is required for them to successfully accomplish their role.  It can be used to enhance their existing role, or advise what will help them with their future career pathway.  It guides staff through, from induction to pre-retirement and supports them throughout their career, their role development, and includes various ways of completing learning & development to suit their individual needs.
